#INKrediblerecipe – High Ballinn’ by Jaros
My favorite cocktail of the menu is the `Chinatown highballinn’.
This drink is based on a cocktail called the ‘penicillin’, designed by the Australian bartender Sam Ross. His drink calls for blended scotch whisky, honey syrup, ginger, lemon and smoky islay whisky.
We incorporated all these flavors in the Chinatown Highballinn’. Instead of blended Scotch we use Bols barrel aged genever, we feel that it gives more character to the drink.
What do you need?
- Bols barrel aged Genever
- Homemade Lapsang Souchong tea
- Honey syrup
- Lemon juice
- Fever Tree ginger beer
How can you make it?
Combine the Bols barrel aged Genever with a homemade Lapsang Souchong tea and the honey syrup. The roasted Chinese tea replaces the smoky Islay whisky of the original recipe, to give our unique flavour to the recipe!
Then we add a bit of lemon juice, and we top the shaken drink off with fever tree ginger beer, which gives a nice spicy kick to the drink.
And enjoy your selfmade cocktail, you deserve it 😉
